Cliff Barnes, the brother of Bobby Ewing's wife Pamela, obtains a document that ties the Ewing family to shady financial dealings with a prominent Senator. How Barnes obtained the information becomes fuel for the fire of suspicion the famil has for Pamela. As a family fight ensues, only Pamela's husband Bobby has faith in her innocence and come to her defense. In anger, Bobby and Pamela move off the family ranch.

Luther Frick discovers his wife and J.R. Ewing's business card in a Waco motel. Suspecting his wife of infidelity, Frick is determined to get revenge as he and a friend pay a visit to Southfork, the Ewing ranch. However, J.R. isn't the target. As a hurricane approaches, it soon becomes apparent that the Ewing women are to be on the receiving end of Frick's jealous actions and J.R. is forced to helplessly stand by.
